Area description

Chamartín is a district of the municipality of Madrid, located north of the capital and comprises the neighborhoods of El Viso, Prosperidad, Ciudad Jardín, Hispanoamérica, Nueva España and Castilla. To the north Fuencarral-El Pardo, to the east by Ciudad Lineal, south of Salamanca district, southwest with Chamberí and Tetuan west to Tetuan. It currently houses the headquarters of several of the most important companies in Spain and contains several areas of city skyscrapers, including the M-30 (financial district) or the “Torres Puerta Europa”, bordering the building AZCA. Of note, is the proximity to the airport of Barajas.
Among its attractions is the National Music Auditorium, Museum of Natural Sciences, Parque de Berlin, el Parque del Canal de Isabel II, the Courts of the Plaza de Castilla and Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Its proximity to Paseo de la Castellana is another great artery circulation.
It also has one of the most important railway stations around Madrid and one of the busiest in Spain, called Madrid-Chamartín. Also close to the Nuevos Ministerios Metro station, where is one of the most famous shops, ”El Corte Ingles” , and great shops and restaurants offer extensive variety.
