What does DFLAT Madrid offer to travelers?

DFLAT Madrid offers short-term and long-term apartment rentals, located in privileged areas, such as the center of Madrid, business areas, and near business schools.

We have comfortable apartments, fully furnished and very well connected to the city.

What kind of accommodations exist?

We have apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms, studios, and lofts which are fully furnished.

How do I select my apartment?

Use the search engine that can be found in the main part of the website. Select the type of dwelling depending on your profile: select traveler to find apartments for short-term stays by days. If you want apartments for long-term stays or specialized apartments, select according to your profile for company or student. Then, indicate the dates and the number of people. Each apartment is valid for a type of rental and offers different services included in the price.

How do I make a reservation?

Once you have found the apartment that you want and it is available, you can make a reservation online, paying 20% of the total rent as a reservation, with the minimum amount being €100.

If the apartment you've selected does not accept reservations online, you can send us a request using our online form. We'll get into contact with you and inform you about its availability and if necessary, some other option.

How do I pay for the reservation?

You can do it online with a credit card. Also, there is the possibility of making a bank transfer although in this case you will have to assume all the bank fees. Paying throughout PAYPAL is also an option for making a reservation throgh a request.

When do I have to pay the rest?

Once you arrive at your apartment, you must pay the remaining amount in cash or using a credit card. If you want to use another method of payment, you must indicate this beforehand in order to look for an alternative depending on your needs.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. This is a typical thing in order to cover possible damages to the apartment if there are any. Normally this deposit is greater the longer your stay is. For short-term stays, DFLAT Madrid requests a deposit of 100 euros which will be deserved when you depart.

What happens if I change or cancel my reservation?

The amount of money for the reservation is not refundable in the case of cancellation.

If you modify the dates of your reservation and there is a difference of more than 3 nights in your arrival or departure, it will be taken to be a new reservation and the amount will not be refunded. Moreover, it must be confirmed in advance whether or not the apartment is available again.

If there is anything preventing your trip to Madrid, you must communicate this. If you give notification in advance and whenever possible, we will offer you an alternative to recover your money.

What is the procedure for arrival to and departure from the apartment?

DFLAT Madrid has apartments located in different neighborhoods of the city and our staff must move about to receive and send off all our clients. For this reason, it is necessary for you to tell us your expected time of arrival, in order to give you the keys and get the rest of the rent and deposit. Likewise, we must be informed of the time of your departure: our agent will look over the apartment and will return the deposit to you at that time.

What happens if some damage is found?

If it occurred due to misuse of the apartment, our agent will not return the deposit until the maintenance crew makes an economic assessment. Afterwards, once it is repaired, the client will be given their remaining money.

Does the price include utilities?

Yes, short-term apartments have all utilities included. For stays lasting a month or longer, these are typically paid by the tenant.

Vacation rental services

Are there sheets and towels in the apartments?

Yes. Our short-term accommodations for travelers have a set of sheets per bed and a set of towels per person.

Do you have a cradle for babies?

Some apartments have a cradle for children, therefore you must ask for it when you send a reservation request. That way we can tell you about its availability and the additional cost entailed.

Is there Internet connection?

Yes. All of our short-term accommodations for travelers have a wi-fi connection.

What additional services do you provide?

For long stays, DFLAT offers a cleaning and ironing service at a specific time or weekly, as well as a change of sheets and towels.

In any case, if there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to ask for it.

Can I use the telephone?

Our apartments don't have telephones, but you will have internet access to make calls using programs like Skype.

Do you have luggage storage services?

No. Only in certain special cases do we allow our clients to leave their luggage in the apartments before or after their stay.

Do I have to leave the apartment clean and straightened up?

Yes. DFLAT Madrid takes care of the cleaning for normal usage of the apartment, but it also requires the tenant to leave the apartment in acceptable cleaning conditions. Basically our rule of acceptance is that there is not be an accumulation of filth in the kitchen and bathroom.

In the case of filth outside of what's normal, DFLAT reserves the right to not return the deposit for damages in order to tackle the extra hours of cleaning the apartment.

Does the price include taxes?

Yes. The prices for services in short-term stays for travelers include taxes as per Spanish legislation.

Are companion animals or pets allowed?

No. Due to hygiene issues, they are prohibited.

Are the apartments located in safe areas?

Yes. All of our rental apartments are located in the best neighborhoods in the center of Madrid, with a high police presence. However, we recommend that in the areas with a lot of overcrowding, means of transportation, and around tourist areas, you be cautious to avoid pickpockets.
