Gran Viais one of the main streets of Madrid, starting in Alcala Street and ending at the Plaza de España. It is an important landmark in the city from a commercial point of view, tourism and leisure. It is famous for its theaters, though in recent years some have closed and others have successfully converted to musical theater, so the stretch between the Plaza de Callao and Plaza de España is known as the Broadway of Madrid . The stretch between the Red de San Luis and Plaza de Callao now hosts many international and fashion chain stores.
On this road lies the Telefónica building, tallest skyscraper in Spain in 1929, with 88 meters, the Metropolis Building, first skyscraper in Madrid, Edificio España, 117 meters, built in 1953 or the Torre de Madrid, 142 meters, was the tallest skyscraper in Europe.

Plaza de Callaois located at the end of the street price, and in the middle of the Gran Via. Like the Gran Vía, Plaza de Callao was built between 1910 and 1940, and is one of the most renowned meeting places of the city with great shopping and gastronomic offer.
In addition, in this area is located the famous
Puerta del Sol, where you can find the so-called Kilometer Zero of all Spanish roads. The Post House clock especially emphasizes, built and donated in the nineteenth century by José Rodríguez de Losada, and whose bells of 12 midnight December 31 marks the tradition oft eating the twelve grapes of the vast majority of the Spanish peolple.
